Developing Educational AR Content for Children: HCI Factors and Considerations
This paper investigates basic components that support the nature of Human Computer Interaction, in the context of children’s interaction with computer technologies. The significant differences in the uses, context and purposes of children’s interaction with computer technology helped identify significant factors and design approaches for designing an educational Augmented Reality mobile application for children. In order to find the answers to our questions, secondary research on existing literature was done. Several frameworks and approaches have been identified, and collectively those approaches can be used as guide to AR designers and educators looking to promote learning through inquiry and exploration of technology.
