The testing process of any software is an intensive work that requires time and resources. White-box testing utilizes the internal structure of the program while black box uses external interface. In component software, there are two testing phases, one conducted by the component developer with access to the source code, and a second which is conducted by the component developer without access to the source code. To document the changes from one version to another, component developers would pass on which methods were changed/ affected to the users. The users then will use this information in regression test selection. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to regression testing of CBS. The approach uses UML/OCL models and notations to provide change information to users. The purpose of this approach is to create a test suite of precise test cases that cover the changed method.
